Operation manual
According to the areas of PSE use specified above, 60 mm-thick surfaces may for short time periods be used for passage of passenger vehicles. Surfaces of 80 mm thickness may temporarily be used for passage of wheeled transport with axle load not exceeding 7 t.
The use of paved surfaces for passage of heavy wheeled transport (with axle load in excess of 12 t) and track-type vehicles is not allowed. PSE surfaces shall also be protected against soiling with building mortars, petroleum-bitumen, paint and other materials; any accumulations of snow must be removed immediately.
Cleaning of surfaces must be done using soft brushes under a jet of pressure water, or, with the use of industrial vacuum cleaners. In case of using any chemical substances for cleaning, the manufacturer disclaims any and all liability for subsequent deterioration of PSE quality parameters (corrosion, change of color, etc.).
The use of steel brushes or scrapers, especially for cleaning of textured and/or colored surfaces, is not allowed.
Though paving stones are resistant to the corrosive effect of salts used to facilitate melting of snow, we recommend mechanical ways of cleaning in winter.
Paving stones are of long service life; however, violation of the established maintenance rules, or some other reasons, could result in deterioration, or destruction, of separate stones in PSE surfacing. To prevent further destruction of adjacent stones, and/or the bedding course, such deteriorated stones shall be replaced without renovation of the entire surfacing.
