Manufacturing

The high quality if figured paving element is dependent on both the quality of raw materials and on the technologies employed for manufacture of the concrete mixture and the end product. This is directly related to the available technological facilities. The “AVENUE” PSEs are manufactured at the «S. Kovalskaya Reinforced-Concrete Products Plant» and «Beton Complex» Plant (where the second high-capacity line for production of paving shaped elements, curb stones and vibration-compacted wall elements was put in operation in September 2005). The engineering development and equipment has been provided by the German company «HESS», one of the world’s leading manufactures of construction machines (www.hessgroup.com). The “AVENUE” paving shaped elements are manufactured of heavy-weight concrete under the semi-dry vibration compaction technology. According to this technology, vibration of concrete mixture in press mould is done under pressure in the vibration press. This technology is marked by high performance and high level of automation. The concrete used in vibration compaction features low water-to-cement ratio. This optimizes cement consumption and ensures high strength of concrete. The “AVENUE” paving shaped elements are manufactured as one- and two-layer types; the range of available colors includes gray, white, and multi-color options.

The «HESS» production line is also employed for manufacture of wall and partition masonry blocks, both of heavy concrete and expanded-clay concrete.
