Wall and partition masonry blocks
The Industrial and Construction Group «Kovalskaya» offers a wide range of partition and wall masonry blocks, both of concrete, and sand and expanded-clay. These blocks are manufactured under the German technology through three-dimensional vibration compaction, which ensures perfect geometrical shapes of final products. Three-hollow blocks are made using the ridge-and-groove system, which excludes the use of cement-sand mortar for vertical joints. In 2005 the LLC «Beton Complex» was awarded a Certificate for the Qualify Management System 180 9001-2001.
Application in construction industry:
Currently, the semi-dry vibration compaction method is one of the most advanced technologies for manufacture of construction products. Vibration-compacted blocks can be used at all stages of multi-storey construction projects. Such blocks are ideal for both construction of new buildings and renovation of already existing ones: in residential houses (including countryside mansions), and in factory buildings. Partition masonry blocks are recommended for partitioning in residential, industrial and agricultural edifices. The majority of buildings erected nowadays are constructed using the blocked technology; therefore, masonry blocks (whether of concrete, or sand and expanded-clay) are indispensable in partitioning. Sand-and-expanded-clay blocks are environmentally friendly. In Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, and in the countries of the Scandinavian region such blocks are usually referred to as «bioblocks». The production of sand-and-expanded-clay blocks is based on the use of environmentally friendly material called expanded clay. Expanded-clay concrete is capable of «breathing», thus allowing for regulation of indoor air humidity. Buildings made of expanded-clay concrete blocks are of long service life and require no specific maintenance procedures.
This material is resistant to putrefaction, fire (contrasted to wood), and rust (contrasted to metal), however, possessing the positive properties of both wood and stone. Strict observance of dimensions allows combining expanded-clay concrete blocks with all types of minor construction materials, reinforced-concrete products, metal structures, as well as window and door apertures. Another advantage of wall masonry blocks is in remarkable thermal characteristics. Using such blocks you can considerably reduce the thickness of external walls (contrasted to brick walls), this simplifying the structure of your building, and reducing zero-circle expenses and general construction expenses.
Wall masonry blocks are larger in size than common bricks, however being convenient in transportation and storage, and easy in handling, without using any special devices. Such blocks are also as easy in laying as common ceramic bricks, thus being affordable even for private property developers.
Advantages of wall blocks:
Number of blocks per 1 m2 of masonry:
Partition block – 10 pcs;
Single ceramic brick – 50 pcs.
Expanded-clay concrete blocks provide the following advantages as compared to ceramic and silica bricks:
- Specific weight is 1.5 to 2 times less compared to brick masonry;
- One standard-size block is of the same volume as five bricks;
- Qualified stone mason can lay three times more of blocks than bricks per one shift.
When used in construction, masonry wall blocks ensure:
• Up to 60% saving of mortar in construction of a single element;
• Increase of usable area through reduction of wall thickness;
• 30 % to 40% reduction of general construction costs compared to cases of using common bricks.
Based on the above, you may obtain a considerable reduction of cost per 1 m2 of accommodation area through high construction productivity, and elimination of complicated lifting mechanisms.
